Letting Go and Holding On

Change is scary but growth is necessary.
But how can you balance the two when one is so intimidating while the other seems to welcome you with open arms. To look at the bigger picture, in order to grow into the person you are meant to be you are supposed to experience all kinds of changes. This can begin the same way seasons do; changing your interests, your taste in books, music, clothes, career paths, favorite color, or even a change in your ways of thinking and the way you see the world, to changing your appearance by cutting your hair or wearing things you feel more comfortable in.
With all of this being said, why do we as humans, feel so much pressure to always be changing. Why can’t we just stay the same or take the steps into being the grander version of ourselves slower? If it’s the feeling of being stuck with who we are that drives us to these changes then that can be a good thing... but some might say that social media influences those particular desires to evolve. On the topic of social media, seeing others who look like they have their life together may be extremely discouraging but I promise you do not have to wake up at five in the morning to be productive and make yourself a better person.
Some may be too comfortable, some may be afraid of change, and others may just not know where to even begin. Challenge yourself to step outside of your comfort zone. Step away from the distractions and try new food, listen to a new artist, meet someone new, or try a new drink from a coffee shop. Create a vision board or write down ideas on paper and use the power of manifestation to bring your true self to life.
