It has been revealed that several Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texas players have tested positive for coronavirus. According to Ian Rappaport, Ezekiel Elliott is one of the names revealed to contract the virus. None of the players are believed to have been in their team facilities and the teams have followed proper health protocols.
The Cowboys commented on the situation adding that, “due to the federal and local privacy laws, we are unable to provide information regarding the personal health of any of our employees.” According to Elliott’s agent Rocky Arceneaux, Eliiott is feeling good.
Eliiott spoke on twitter to say that his agent did not break the story but confirmed it. He also tweeted, “HIPPA??” Which was most likely referring to doctor-patient confidentiality.
This is all coming as the NFL season is set to return. Although having no fans at the games has been strongly recommended, Texas did open back up to the public at 50% capacity and continues to slowly come back to normal. The first regular season game is supposed to take place on September 10th as the Texans will take on the Chiefs.
