Denton County Public Health Announces Third COVID-19 Death

Denton County Public Health announced the third COVID-19 related death in Denton County today. The Patient was a female in her 60s received the virus via local transmission. The woman, a resident of unincorporated Denton County, was previously reported hospitalized. Denton County Judge Andy Eads said “The news of a third individual’s death due to COVID-19 is tragic, our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this difficult time.” The other two fatalities due to COVID-19 in Denton County, a male resident of Aubrey in his 60’s, and a Lewisville man in his 40’s, also received the virus through local transmission. This comes as the number of COVID-19 cases in Denton County increased by 26, leading to the total of 191 confirmed cases.
