I work at a Rec Center that has an indoor track. Fortunately, I get a free membership because I work there. Before quarantine, I was trying to go to the gym to run on the track three days a week. So, the gym is closed, I haven't worked or worked out in a month. I came to the realization that I cannot do much about my job, but I can still get creative with my workouts.
Last night I decided to go for a run in the morning before my classes started at Zoom University. I got ready and tried to leave the house, but got stopped by my mother. She didn't love the idea that I was going to run by myself, but my dad reassured her that we don't live in the "ghetto" (ratatatataAaAAa) so I left.
Let me just say that I am SUPER spoiled! When you run on a track inside there is a controlled climate, no wind, no hills, and no running uphill into the wind! It was so windy that the tears were flowing, I could not stop crying. I feel bad for all of the cars that drove past me, I looked like a fool! Despite all of the outside elements, I made it back home alive! Even though I was miserable during run, I am glad I did it. It forced me to wake up earlier and I have felt better throughout the day!
