My go to stress reliever has always been baking. Now, some would consider this a "stressful" time we are quarantined in, so I have been baking. A lot. Cookies, cupcakes, cakes, brownies, etc. However one of my favorite things to make is also one of the easiest. Brigadeiros. It is a Brazilian chocolate heaven. Super simple recipe you only need three ingredients and about an hour from start to finish.
So what you're gonna need is a can of condensed milk, either Nesquik or cocoa powder (either works whichever you have in your pantry), and some butter. Melt 2 tbs butter in a sauce pan (the pan thats small in circumference but deep with a lid) over medium high heat. Once it is liquid pour in that condensed milk and let it sit for a second or two until it heats up. Then add 3 tablespoons of whatever chocolate powder you got. Now it's gonna get annoying. You have to stir all of that together with a wooden spoon or anything else that can stir, except a whisk, until it is a thick glob of chocolate. You will know you are finished when you go to stir some more and the glob lifts off the bottom of a pant and it pretty solid. Kind of like Play-dough consistency but a little smoother. When that happens plop the glob on a plate coated in butter and stick it in the fridge for 30 mins or until it is cool to the touch. Butter up a second plate and ball the chocolate dough. The balls can be little or big doesn't matter I can't tell you what to do. If you wanna be extra you can roll it in chocolate sprinkles too, but it's not required. After you've done that refrigerate it one more time for about 10 minutes. Then take the balls to the couch and stuff your face while you watch Carol Baskin CLEARLY incriminate herself on camera. Also that is not my own personal image I forgot to take a photo of mine before I devoured them so here in one from Food and Wine Magazine. Stay safe, don't wear your shoes into the house, and wash your hands.
